Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026.
TL;DR — We use strictly necessary and preference cookies to make the site work, and pseudonymous analytics only if you consent. We do not use advertising, retargeting or third-party profiling cookies.
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how KAIVON TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("SplitEase", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the SplitEase website at splitease.ai. It applies together with our Privacy Policy. It does not apply to the SplitEase mobile app, which does not use browser cookies; the app stores session tokens in secure device storage.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand aggregated site usage. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, pixel tags, web beacons and SDKs. Throughout this Policy, we use "cookies" to refer to all of them.
3. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function (for example, to keep you signed in, to remember what you have added to a form, and to prevent security attacks). You cannot switch these off. No consent is required for them under EU and UK law.
- Preference cookies remember choices you make (such as your theme or language) to personalise your experience.
- Analytics cookies collect pseudonymous information about how the site is used, in aggregate, to help us improve it. These are set only if you provide consent (in jurisdictions where consent is required).
We do not use advertising, retargeting, cross-context behavioural advertising, or third-party social-media tracking cookies. We do not sell information collected via cookies.
4. Cookies we use
se_sessionStrictly necessaryExpires: SessionKeeps you logged in while using the website.
se_auth_tokenStrictly necessaryExpires: 30 daysRemembers your authentication state across browser sessions.
se_csrfStrictly necessaryExpires: SessionProtects against cross-site request forgery attacks on forms.
se_themePreferenceExpires: 1 yearStores your dark/light theme preference.
se_consentPreferenceExpires: 6 monthsStores your cookie-consent choices so we do not ask you again on every visit.
_se_analyticsAnalytics (consent required)Expires: 90 daysPseudonymous page-view and session analytics to help us improve the website. Only set if you accept analytics cookies.
5. Your choices and consent
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, and California), we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. You can:
- accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner shown on your first visit;
- change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the site footer, or by clearing your browser cookies and reloading the page;
- use browser-level controls such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we treat as a valid opt-out signal for analytics and any sale or sharing of information;
- use browser settings to block or delete cookies (see Section 6).
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. Refer to the help pages for your browser:You can also opt out of analytics tools industry-wide through initiatives such as the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), even though we do not currently use advertising cookies.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Web browsers may transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because there is no industry-wide standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to it. We do honour GPC signals as a valid opt-out preference for analytics cookies and for the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under US state privacy laws.
8. International considerations
Our website may be accessed from anywhere in the world. Where you are located may determine which consent banner you see and how your choices are recorded. This does not change the underlying protections we apply to your information; see our Privacy Policy for details on data transfers.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
