Getting started
- How do I create a group in SplitEase?Create a group for a trip, a shared flat or a dinner, choose its currency and add the people you split costs with.
- How do I invite people to a SplitEase group?Share a group's invite link, code or QR code so friends can join, or add friends who already use SplitEase.
- How do I join a group with an invite code or link?Join a SplitEase group by opening an invite link, scanning its QR code or typing the invite code in the app.
Expenses
- How do I add an expense?Add a shared expense in SplitEase: enter the amount, choose who paid and how it is split, then save.
- How do I split an expense unequally?Split a SplitEase expense by exact amounts, by percentage or by shares instead of equally.
- How do I edit or delete an expense?Change the amount, payer, category or split of a SplitEase expense, or delete it from the group.
- Can I use more than one currency in a group?Set a group's default currency and add individual expenses in other currencies. Balances are shown per currency.
Settling up
- How do I settle up with someone?Record a payment in SplitEase after paying someone back, or mark money you received, so balances clear.
- How does SplitEase reduce the number of payments?Switch to the Optimized view on the Settle up screen to see the fewest payments that clear every debt in a group.
- How do I remind someone to pay me back?Send a friendly payment reminder from the Settle up screen to anyone in a group who owes you.
Managing groups
SplitEase+
- What is SplitEase+ and what does it include?SplitEase+ adds unlimited groups, receipt scanning, voice expenses, recurring expenses, budgets, analytics and exports.
- How do I scan a receipt to add an expense?Photograph a bill or upload a photo or PDF and SplitEase fills in the amount and details for you to check.
- How do I add an expense by voice?Say an expense out loud and SplitEase fills in the amount, description and split for you to review.
- How do I set up a recurring expense?Add rent, bills or subscriptions once and SplitEase adds them to the group on schedule with the same split.
- How do I export a group's expenses?Download a SplitEase group's expenses as a PDF statement, a CSV file or an Excel workbook.
Account and sign-in
- I didn't get my SplitEase verification codeWhat to do if the SMS sign-in code for SplitEase doesn't arrive: wait, resend, or check your phone number.
- How do I change the language in the SplitEase app?Switch the language of the SplitEase app from your Profile settings.
- How do I delete my SplitEase account?Delete your SplitEase account from inside the app, or request deletion by email if you can no longer sign in.
